How to make it

  1. In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil, fresh ginger and black pepper. Toss to coat the beef in the marinade. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining low-sodium soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
  4. We suggest you serve this dish with white rice and steamed vegetables of your choice.
  5. Drizzle the sauce over the beef and vegetables.
  6. Optional: garnish with sliced green onion, chopped fresh cilantro and sesame seeds.
