How to make it
- In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil, fresh ginger and black pepper. Toss to coat the beef in the marinade. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining low-sodium soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
- We suggest you serve this dish with white rice and steamed vegetables of your choice.
- Drizzle the sauce over the beef and vegetables.
- Optional: garnish with sliced green onion, chopped fresh cilantro and sesame seeds.
