How to make it

  1. In a food processor or blender, add the drained and rinsed chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, you can add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste the hummus and adjust the salt and lemon juice as needed to suit your preference.
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.
  5. Serve the hummus with carrot sticks, cucumber slices, or whole grain pita bread.
  6. Optional: add olive oil and paprika to your liking
