How to make it

  1. In a mason jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, milk, chia seeds (if using), honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon (if desired).
  2. Stir the ingredients until they are well combined.
  3. Cover the jar or container with a lid and refrigerate it overnight or for at least 4-6 hours to allow the oats to soak and soften.
  4. The next morning, give the overnight oats a good stir.
  5. If the consistency is too thick, you can add a little more milk to reach your desired thickness.
  6. Top the overnight oats with your favorite fresh fruits, nuts, and seeds.
  7. Optional: Add a dollop of unsweetened Greek yogurt for extra creaminess and protein.
